Mmmmm, lovely sunlight! Alas, it is now cold again in New York. But during those few beautiful days I had to go to the river bank and shoot photos. I wore this gorgeous new leather necklace from Love & Leather with an old kimono type blouse and my new JC Bueno boots (from MissKL). I love how carefree and fun this look is. Even with the layers it is a perfect spring look.

The Jeffrey Campbell Bueno boots are now on SALE at MissKL… so make sure not to miss your chance to get them at an amazing price!

I have been shooting looks like a mad woman! And I love it! It feels so good to constantly have photographs to edit and post to share with all of you. Thank you all for your support and for being loyal readers to JL!

Love,

R.

Sttteeeeep right up! Win a prize! I can’t even explain how much I loved my first trip to Coney Island. Noelle and I spent hours wandering around the fairgrounds eating lots and lots of cotton candy. It was magical. I love the feeling I get just being present at a fair. I don’t even have to go on the rides, I just like being there. I styled two looks while I was there. This one features an old romper that I bought from Urban Outfitters maybe 3-4 years ago. It’s Rapscallion by Samantha Pleet. The most amazing part about it is that I now know Samantha Pleet and she is so sweet. I love that I have one of her old pieces and didn’t realize it until just a couple of days ago when I pulled this romper out of a box of summer clothes. I paired it with my Wildfox x JC’s from Misskl and an h&m hat for a simple carny-ish look.

Stay tuned for my second Coney Island look in a few days!

Love,

R.

Photographs of myself by Noelle Downing. Edits and other photographs by me.

I usually find that the random candid shots that Noelle takes during our look shoots are some of the best. It could seem that way because it feels so fresh to have something different and not posey. I edited these shots a little bit differently, a bit darker. I think it looks interesting. Adds a bit more emotion! I have been working on some really fun little projects for JL lately. A video of my apartment soon to come… and a DIY post for tomorrow!

Love,

R.

I was so excited to receive two new pairs of amazing glasses from BonLook! They have so many great frames at an amazing price. They go well with a lot of my wardrobe too! I’m a sucker for the “geek chic" trend. There’s something awesome about pairing a big pair of plastic frames with a classy look. BonLook also now offers a free style consultation service! You can check it out here.

This time I included some additional photos from the shoot. Brandon, Aaron and I took the train to Central Park to shoot and I asked Aaron to jump in some photos with me. It was really funny! Aaron came along because I wanted to photograph his new GORGEOUS leather satchel that I got him as a belated Christmas gift.

I have another post about the leather satchels that I’ll make soon because we had a lot of great photographs from it. This satchel, my green one and my other one in my older looks are all from The Leather Satchel Co. They do beautiful work and I can’t tell you how amazed I am with them every time! They customize satchels so they are exactly how you want them with handles, buckles, straps, size, color, monogramming etc. Check them out!

Love,

R.

ACNE OBSESSION.

As you all may have noticed by now, I am obsessed with my Acne boots! And it just occurred to me that the title of this look may make some think that I am obsessed with the acne that appears on one’s face. (That isn’t the case!) I am still trying to obtain the pixel boots in black and also my beloved Acne Atacoma wedges. One day, one day.

POST-WAR.

Studs and ombre boots. A serious statement made in this look, which I feel is kind of unexpected from me! But I love to branch out and try new things. Choies has a really great selection of boots and heels currently that are perfect. I want so many! The blazer from this look is also from Choies. The plaid shirt and geometric necklace are both from Romwe. I feel like all of these items together give a rocker vibe.

Love,

R.
