I am going to keep this post short and sweet today because I am starting to feel really under the weather. I hate when you aren’t *really* sick yet but you can feel the beginning and you know there’s no turning back… blah!
But I had a lot of fun styling this super colorful look featuring a Kenzo lookalike from Chicwish! It looks pretty cute with these sequined colorful shorts from Romwe. All of the colors are so fun together! The green Urban Ears headphones make the look a touch more playful. It was so fun to pose for this look while I danced around to some tunes!
Enjoy the weekend! Hopefully I can too… lame cold :(

What can I say besides I love this vintage rock vibe I’ve been channeling with my new Christian Benner custom tees. I especially freaked when I saw this Johnny Cash one because I listen to Cash all the time. Swoon.

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting the Candamill studio in Brooklyn. Candamill is an upcoming designer line by the two very talented siblings Cindy and Cristian Candamil. The line features pieces that have amazing structural quality that is inspired by architecture in the city. The other fantastic thing about Candamill is they also support artists in their studio. When I visited, the walls were covered with beautiful paintings and works of art for sale. It is so great that artists in the city are always promoting one another!
There is one piece that I would love to introduce you to. Their stunning Truss tote bag, made of italian pebbled leather. The tote is a great size to carry all of your belongings in style. I love the line quality of the bag. The shapes are very modern and bold which definitely makes this bag a statement piece.
Candamill is running a special deal for my lovely readers - 10% off of the Truss tote! It’s available here for pre-order: http://www.candamill.com/#!shop-fall-13/cbtm Discount code: JAGLEVER
The red top in this look is also one of their amazing pieces. I love the shades of red that Candamill has incorporated in their line. Their color palette mostly consists of muted reds, navy and tan. Which is to say that these pieces are so versatile with other items in one’s wardrobe!
I love that I have been able to work with and support a handful of amazing artists here in New York, and I still feel brand new here. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Candamill.
Be sure to give their site a little visit!

Had so much fun running around with Noelle with daisies in my pocket and all. We went to the grassy area by the pier to shoot this fun crop top Rolling Stones tee that Christian Benner made. Usually I am not a fan of the crop top, but this one looks stunning with my high wasted pants/shorts. It’s so fun! I think I may start wearing cropped tees more often this summer. But anyway, Christian Benner makes really great custom shirts from old band tees. It’s great to support New York artists!
I was so skeptical about a year and a half ago when I bought these jeans on sale from Anthropologie. Bell bottoms weren’t really a big thing… but they fit me PERFECTLY besides the length. And I am not one to really follow through with getting things hemmed… but I DID. One of the best choices I’ve ever made with clothing, I think! I love these jeans so much.

It would seem that I am plagued recently by my childhood, with all of the mentions of childhood games I used to play and now… a reference to the infamous Hey Arnold “Stoop Kid” episode. Anyone who was a child in the 90’s knew how amazing Nickelodeon was. My favorite shows were Rugrats, Hey Arnold, Rocko’s Modern Life, Are you afraid of the Dark, Angry Beavers, Guts, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Salute your Shorts, Clarissa explains it All and I’m sure the list goes on. Oh, to be a child in the 90’s was glorious. What is it with kids TV these days? Good thing Netflix has saved us all.
Every time I see a stoop or use one for a shoot, I can’t help but think of Stoop Kid.

Nothin’ like a lovely piece from Dear Creatures in the warm weather! A brand that I truly love. I remember the first time I saw a Dear Creatures piece at a store in Chicago. I couldn’t afford it at the time, and then the store was going out of business so I managed to get the piece on sale. It was like a heavenly moment… to finally own something from a brand I loved so much. I am happy to own a few pieces I’ve collected over the years! This romper is from a couple of years back. But I love the sailor style collar with the bow. So cute. I wore my mom’s old belt that she gave me from when she was my age.
My favorite picture from this group has to to be the Zoltar fortune teller one. I always think of the movie “Big” when I see one. What a classic movie!
Today I am doing a bunch of catching up with emails, adding new items to Fawn on a Lawn and sending out shipments. Oh yes, and picking the winner for the iPhone case! Sorry for the delay. And of course continuing my search for a job. It’s nice and sunny outside which is lovely! I had brunch alone this morning for the first time and it was actually quite nice.
